Burlap Luxe Home In White

Inspiring a two drawer French Chest that now replaces the coffee table. After being inspired to paint a chest that has hung around in my homes for the last 25 years. I was inspired to paint it white and then paint and distress the surface with a French weathered patina to it. I love the look and feel of a French chest replacing a coffee table.

Rustic Details in White

Inspiring the beauty of white washed in greys.

Vera, the milk pitcher was to dramatize the fact that I was creating with white. The white milk I hope got the message across.
You so get me Vera, of course you would dearest of friends.

Hurry up and get that blog going.

Love what you did with the chest, Dore! It is perfect for your space.
Only you could think of just the right styling, a rose in the milk pitcher!
You always make me see the potential in so many things, and for that I thank you.
Big hugs,
Patti

I like the chest idea because it is tall enough then for a laptop - makes smarter sense then.

You did a great job with the finish.

Say, um, is that MILK your rose is sitting in? Is this good for a rose? I have never seen that before, just wondering.

The chest is beautiful. I love the simplicity of the room.

For some reason, this morning I awoke and began simplifying the vignettes throughout my house.

Thanks for your simple inspiration.

Hi Dore,

What a soothing room and that little bit surprise of a rose in a REAL "milk glass" vase :-) So comfy to invite one's bare feet up on the trunk to rest, and yet elegant in a quiet way that only the French (and you) can create that when one walks in the room, that instantly one feels elegant herself! That is always treat to feel elegant after a harsh work day, a bad hair day, a "I feel fat" day, or "I have nothing to wear" day. Feeling restful and elegant is a great cure for those blah days.

Thank you for inspiring your readers to create a space for themselves to reflect such a feeling.

Lots of love and hugs
Elizabeth
