You've created such a cozy and lovely mood here. Happy autumn to you.
Hugs.
Absolutely beautiful and so me. I had a few dried roses in an old glass bottle just like that in our upstairs bathroom. The window was open and, during the high winds and rain lat night, they got soaking wet !! I now have to dry a few more !! XXXX
Just a stunning and peaceful autumn.
Blessings~
Doré,
In Philly today is is raining and dark, not gloomy but dark enough during the day interior lights are on and the colors dance with illumination.
Now imagine my delighted surprise to see your lovely vintage found cane sided chair with the old tattered and tore lovely pumpkin toned linen. My heart embraces that color for to me it represents what is Autumn, sheer beauty in its tonal old fabric. But I'm sure you have a recreation in mind for its new quest in continued usage.
A delighful post in a beautiful new adventure of a new Autumn.
I will return later tonight to soak in more creative essence in this photo essay with poetic words.

Vera
Dore are the best at making it all look so beautiful and wonderful. I love the jeans laying over the bed! I see that look at my house a lot!
Hi Dore, I love comfort and relaxed, too. Some times we are just a little too stuffy and rigid. That's why I love antiques, their soft aged patina says welcome it's okay to touch. Gorgeous vignettes!
Big hugs to you,
Patti
Comfy, relaxed and simple are all things you have created and I admire that. That is my motto too! Love the photos!

Blessings to you.
I am falling in love with the beauty you've created! The patina, softness and faded grandeur! Just lovely, Dore. xoxo
Your faded charm reference is staying with me, thank you!
It has been dreary and rainy here in Northeast Ohio for some time now, our trees are losing all it's beautiful leaves, getting ready for the cold and snow. Thank you for warming me with your words and your beautiful pictures!
Beautiful and well loved. What a cosy place.
You do Fall, beautifully!
Such rustic elegance...you have such a gift for creating beauty, Dore!

You make the most beautiful photos. Love this old chair and the dried roses.
Wish you a great weekend.
Hugs from here
Aged romance certainly describes your beautiful style. I love how there is nothing at all in your images that does not support the simple beauty of it all.
Dore
Your beautiful photos have a voice all their own. I wish I had your talent with photography! Fall in it's natural splendor!
the jeans speak to me as i sit here in my deeply distressed (i think they're called 17-year destructed) AG boyfriend jeans! love the tranquil thread stringing your fall vignettes together and all the whispers of peace and good will offered in your commentary and through the lens. love to you, dore.
Dore, thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your sweet words!!
I love your photos-your simple yet so elegant version of fall, and your lovely 'captions' to match! :)
Susan
Dore, Dore, Dore...! I haven't talked to you in forever! What a wonderful old chair in the photo... and i love the torn and tattered jeans... love them.
Cindy
So fresh and cozy and a big thank you for stopping by the blog!!
Oh so very L O V E L Y ! ! !
I have some rose buds trying to bloom, still on the bush.... just not enough sunshine to coax them open! Like me, they have rebelled against the passing of summer. But the cooler days and early sunsets do bring out the nesting instinct, with furry throws and a fireplace glowing!
Inspiring and Wonderful as always,
are you.
Blessings and Grace fill your space!

omg Dore, I love EVERYTHING about this picture. The chair, the books, the ladder. I want it all. Are you going to do anything with the chair? You know me, I can't leave anything alone. You have a way of staging and putting things together that exude peace and love and calmness. I love it.
Dear Dore, oh, how I have missed your posts! My apologies, I have been lax both in visiting, as well as posting on my own blog. Life seems to simply get in the way at times. I had surgery, and am finally beginning to feel like myself again. A thorough cleaning of my little studio, and much purging of unneeded items, has brought a new exhilaration into creating for me. It's so good for the soul! Less truly is more at times. Your beautiful images of your home, the tranquility, and warmth it evokes, is like a soothing cup of tea on a snowy night beside the fire. I know of no other way to describe the nostalgic feelings that well up within me every time I visit your home from your blog. You have more talent that you give yourself credit for at times. You create such beauty from ordinary, long forgotten items. Your words, coupled with photos of your works, and home always inspire, and always leave me feeling I should have visited much sooner!
I have created a bit of nostalgia this week too. I recreated the Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz! He makes me smile :) Hope you will pop in and see him. Much Love, Christel
What a beautiful post, Dore. Been a while since I've been here, but it's as lovely and enchanting as always! Take care, Tracie
Totally beautiful. White and grey elegance which is very much my style too!
The old chair is something I would really love to have in my bedroom.
Love this post it is very inspiring.
Just looking at your gorgeous Greyhound too, who looks like a little deer!
Good to stop by and visit you again.

Dearest Dore,
You are such a comfort to my soul with your gentle touches that inspire... I know that your mind is always searching for that special touch, and you know how and where to apply..
I love the roses....
I apologize for arriving so late, I have been tending little Jasper.
He is on the mend now.
Bisous!
Penny
Ah...I am finally here. Dearest Doré, it is always an honor to see you, to read your enthusiastic support and UNDERSTANDING of my mind! And I look forward to crafting a post for our December spectacle! I do hope to add more photos of my home, though there are some details (like painting my beams white) that I can't get done until summer. I was hoping to capture some of that distressed beauty now for Christmas, but I have to find other areas of my home to share.
However....on the theatre and imagination front, I am raring to GO!
SENDING YOU hugs and hopes for a sensation imagination journey sweet friend! Anita

DOREEEEEE, I have seen it! MY GOODNESS, you are really DIVINE! This CROWN and the shrine and that CHICKEN!! GORGEOUS! With such a great sense of humour as well and so increadible skilled, this makes me feel inspired and wishing, you would not be so far away!!! The shrine, ah, where is Lestat????? Hiding, of course... it is taken by daylight, this picture...
We are so alike and then so different, we could fly over the moon together, I am sure! :)))
