All Is Calm... Nordic French

All Photos by Dore
Burlap Luxe

Often a peaceful joyeux noel are those full of the unexpected.

French cypress trees painted on wood paneling like the old world artist once painted add
to a Nordic French holiday home.

Remember this December,
That love weighs more than gold!

A tree of  nothing more than winter branches,
But softly gives of itself.

Nordic in style filled with my hand created wire pieces, mini crowns, chandeliers,
garlands of crusty beads, and hand aged crystals wired with age.

One of my wire pieces I create are birdcages that one would perhaps hang
from the weakest of branches soulfully.

The perfect tree, all trees are perfect.

My Nordic French Kitchen.

Oh my goodness, you are always such an inspiration to me. Your branches are exquisite with the delicate ornaments and wired crowns. And the sweet little fairy birdcages are divine. the phrase "love weighs more than gold" is so poignant - i love the little touches of fresh greenery here and there too. just that little bit is better than a whole house filled with it.

Hi Dore! First of all thank you SO much for stopping by my blog and entering my contest!!! Good luck! I had to look you up mainly because I loved your words but also because we share the last name! my maiden name is Callaway (even spelled the same)! Anyway, I LOVE your style! If you are ever by chance in the Birmingham, Alabama area you must go to a shoppe called White Flowers. Totally you. Everything in there is white. It truly is one of the most amazing shoppes I've ever been in! Anyway, thank you again! I will be stopping by your blog often! Oh, and both you and your daughter are stunning!!! ox!

Ma chère amie! Merci for your visit last night during this busy time when people are still in party mode! What a great Christmas it was for me; I so hope you too had a special time with Hannah and others in your life. Our time in Los Angeles was very short but so rich in memory-making. I have one more week off from work and look forward to some rest and HEALING; when we came back home on Friday, it has snowed so on Saturday morning I had to shovel. I threw out my back! I am trying to sit still and get up to move but basically keeping still so I can heal. School starts next week!

Thank you for commenting on my home. I painted that armoire last year and love the look and feel of it! We hope to add exposed beams to our new room and you guessed it - they will be painted GRAY!

BISOUS BISOUS et bonne année! Anita
