Thank You VERA,
"Row Homes and Cobblestones"
For your kind and gentle giving heart.
Vera, adds beauty to your heart of living.

Further in the art of French living, it's time to
bring what has lived outside amongst the weathering
sun in.
I am comforted by it's weathered grey.

 "L' entente de la nie"
The agreement negates the claim is just.

I live with little design restrictions.
My French art will be copied to aged tattered paper prints so
my Burlap Luxe etsy shoppers can enjoy my art in their
agreeable homes.

 "Profondeur"
The depth of art.
French Women,

I have named this piece...
"Elle regarde"
(She Watches)
 Weathered and washed in grey.
My art signs are found in my Burlap Luxe etsy shop.

  11. Doré,
Your oil, Wow, it is mesmerizing. From the lovely tones from the Greenish/Bleus to the skin tones with your shadowing done to perfection.
You titled her "She Watches" with the perfect name. I wonder if perhaps she is intently starring at her husband as they reflect on their lives spent in the French countryside.

La Vie est Belle, the first time I looked through that amazing book I keep saying to myself, I wonder if Doré has this book ... So Doré like.
When I asked you if you owned the book and the answer was no how could I not gift you with a book that speaks of your lifestyle. I find myself daydreamsing reading the quotes, soaking in the different regions shown and often try the simple but palate pleasing recipes.

Love your chair brought into your cottage. Weathered in soft Grey's it graces your home. I love the White linen on it, what a lovely textural contrast. Your Cartapesta artwork captivates me and I love collecting your art. The Bird sanctuary - Oh Doré how much it reflects a true labor of love. I can in my mind's eye see whoever purchases it placing a few feathers and a real birds nest inside for display. Your signs are wonderful and can make a true statement piece in someone's home.
    xoxo,
    Vera

And now: This wreath!!!!!!! Divine! Oh, and the petite bird you painted, so .... I have no words.
You are SUCH an artist! And so many kinds of materials, spirit of being abroad, holidays...
I sometimes try to tell you my thoughts, and then the words won´t come in English.
But I think, you know anyway. Next post is it then. I hope, you will be in the audience, first row???
    Next to Vera?
I huuuug you, happy mouse-greetings from Méa

I was so excited to see a new blog post by you and this one is filled with so much loveliness! I am so in love with that gray wicker chair! What a perfect aging of grey it has from the outside. And with all the white linen it is so lovely. I love the mix of textures and the roses and rosemary really make it all so yummy. I love all of your art and love having some of it to enjoy in my own home. The painting of the French lady is so wonderful and calming. And I must look for that book! How sweet of Vera to gift it to you! Your home is like the pages of a French Décor book. It is just so lovely! xoxo

  38. Lovely One!
Inspiration abounds in your presence! And I do feel your presence when I come to
your blog, the beauty, the weathered whites wash over me.

How I need to do a new blog post, and will.....

Our house sold, and we've been living at our 'new' place for a couple of months and
I've been working at making it our own, if only my $$$ matched my vision!!!!!

So far, the guest room is becoming marvelous. French Inspired. It will be the room
I come to for beauty and femininity ~ as my studio is in the middle of the house, it will
be less 'girly'. How I wish you could advise and inspire me on this room!!!!!
It's open to the dining room with a table-height cabinet dividing the rooms. And after coming in the front door, one walks through this room to get to the long great room in the back of the house. One wall has built in knotty pine cabinets where I house my computer, printer, etc. (I am wanting to paint them white but so far my husband is not convinced)

I plan to put my studio desk in here. I'm not sure what else.... the ideas will come.
I first need to get that desk from our other house, we still have some furniture we left
    there for staging.

This journey would make for a good book! Moving from a new house we built on a tiny lot... with barely any yard maintenance to a 30 year old brick home on 1.7 acres with a pond.
We've been doing all sorts of repairs and projects!
The trees!!!!!! I love these mature trees!!!

I'm painting a little table today for the guest room. Soon, a blog post!

Yes, Mea's production was magnificent!!!!! One thing on my list is to paint my theatre
    for the next production......

    Keep bringing delight,
    Violet
