ReplyDeleteYour passion and creative brilliance always, ALWAYS delights my heart. Loving your new signs and don't get me started about having Goats. I adore their energy, their personalities, how they can keep lawns trimmed (Ha Ha). Love their milk into cheese, amazing sweet little animals.
Your very rustic stool is going to be an enjoyed addition in your home. Just this past weekend while we were in NYC visiting friends, I went to our friends gallery/store. I fell head over heels in love with a small old pine bench/stool with a time worn beautiful patina.
It will be joining our home as a beautifully aged piece in our living room.
It is amazing how a vintage or antique piece whispers to our soul and we embrace it and become part of it's legacy.
A visit to your blog is always a beautiful way to spend some time.

ReplyDeleteOh yum, I love cheese of any sort! One of my favorite things to do in So Cal was go in Trader Joe's and pick up some cheese, pate, hummus, crackers and bread...perfect dinner!

But imagine a stunning oil painting or even an enhanced LARGE print or even acrylic on canvas of French goats, in muted grays, for THE KITCHEN? Now that would be elegance pour la cuisine, à la chèvre!!!!

Dearest Dore, it has been way too long since my last visit! I have often wondered how you decide what to keep, and what to sell in your shop? You create so many wonderful pieces, it would be so hard for me to give them up.The small step stool looks fabulous as a display for books, plates ect. The rustic goat cheese sings will be a huge hit for those wanting to incorporate cuisine themed pieces into their kitchens! The old world flavor you have brought to life once again is beautiful! I know the feeling of being a few days late for visits....now that school is in FULL swing, I am finding myself running around and unable to really do some creative writing. But I think once I really find my momentum, I will be able to get my writing back.
Thank you for your loving comments. I LOVE TO CREATE! Oh, you should see the little table that I think I told you about that I found was being thrown out by an ANTIQUE salvage warehouse. It's French, but I painted it GOLD and now am wiping a light layer and wiping off WHITE PAINT. The results are remarkable. Now, if I could just get a moment to photograph it!

Thank you so much for your encouraging words for Fibi and Boo. No, as a matter of fact, I very seldom have any recall of dreams.. I find this odd.. Ideas usually just pop in, day or night.
Listening to music always inspires me.
Sometimes I will just look at all the colors of the wool, then decide what I feel like creating.
Once I start needle felting, it more or less just evolves from there.
I would love to see your friends Seascape in wool. It sounds beautiful.. I have only done one seascape in wool.. Maybe one day I will attempt another.

loving so much the unique bench and these charming goat cheese signs. would love to give them a spotlight on the blog if i may share pics? our son's first serious girlfriend was a goat charmer, and she won many competitions showing them. i think they would be a lovely addition! i visit and feed the ones at a nearby apple orchard and talk talk them up like they are babies, without a doubt embarrassing all within earshot. and i don't care. the baby calf? also not safe from me! love to you.
