I adore creating little areas of usefulness, along with dried aged flowers they add that Frenchness as favored in faded toile French textiles. |
A draped French textile piece are much in evidence in French rural interiors. No piece to small or of insignificant to be used somewhere. |

I can't wait to see what you do with the charming chandelier.
Everytime I see your posts, I find myself craving simple muted tones like yours. They are so peaceful. I am loving your floor. Did you white washed them? They look beautiful.
Beautiful vignette! I love your floors.

So true, almost as if a piece was being saved from not being used again or treated with discard until someone special finds it. It then continues the story...
Love vintage!
Happy June!

Dear Doré,
so there are little storys to follow, like the wood is shining through to show their little souls. Yes, we are keepers, aren´t we?
And I think, there will be a transformation... of this chandelier?
Have a wonderful créative time, hugs, Méa
All thinks are nice but I like the most chandelier and French textile piece. To give a good look to your small area, I prefer you to take help of interior designer.

And this is SO FRENCH: to use these beautiful antiques and things of beauty to the hilt. To use them, to be comfortable in them and make them a part of every day life. That is so français! Doré, your space is so soothing, and this past weekend, I just added some whispy drapes to my white bedroom and OH the difference. There is a more complete feel to this white space we love, and it is a joy going upstairs to go to sleep!
Lovely my friend. And I can't get that circus tent out of my mind! Bises, Anita
P.S. how are you feeling?
Hello Dore
You again cast your magic wans and spell over the beautiful object which come your way. I am impressed that you can wire and re-construct a chandelier. Brava

Good morning, Dore ~
It's me again. Yesterday, I painted my ornate mirror a light gray. It came out completely too light. So I'm back this morning to scroll through your blog for inspiration.
Already, I see what I need to do to correct the color! Wish me luck!!!

Beautiful Dore....Just like your heart.
Surely this is a site well worth seeing.
Hello my lovely friend!
I'm loving your little corners - they make me smile. I must say, your painting technique has stolen my heart. That little chair is adorable! And I am thinking I am going to go out and pick some roses to dry - forgot how romantic dried roses can be.
I hope all is well in your world and know that you are never far from my thoughts. Wishing you always the very best that life has to offer.
Lots of love and hugs
Elizabeth
Bonjour mon amie! I thought of you yesterday my friend, as I had a yard sale and sold many items. But not once did I let go of my vintage white and gray objets d'art! I also went window shopping and there is a new shop in town where the proprietor sells the Annie Sloan paints and also vintage painted furniture. She now has a better location on the boulevard and you should have seen the customers leaving her shop with loads of chairs and tables! I hope you are well, and one day, ONE DAY, I need one of your circus tents!
Thank you so much for coming over to visit. BISOUS, Anita
