A Canvas Of Whites

Spring cleaning in Burlap Luxe home
Florals of white
Dusted grey chandelier in the entry.
Weathered French floral cans.
French and aged against a white canvas.
Pure and simple.
A side table I built from salvaged aged woods, and
I adore the less then perfectness.
White is the colour.
A French chest of drawers serves as my coffee table with
perfect storage at hand.

Oh, Doré,
love love these weathered shades of wood. They look like driftwood with saltstains, so ravishing.
Yeah, still somehow the bay area... the sea, you can smell it in your picture, and the white furniture is somehow like the the white crowns of the waves. Hey, you made me a poet ;))
Thank you for this post, Doré,
Méa

Absolutely perfect my dearest. White is the color, that is for sure. And if at any time we feel like more, we can add some colorful flowers or something special in aqua or green, whatever. But this is the way to life for me. I thought of you yesterday for several reasons. I had some difficult after school, walking...I over-did my day, but I see the ear doctor Monday to hopefully get some answers. THEN I HAD SOME FUN and found that fabulous wooden tray you have, over at Target!

I will email you to ask some questions about white-wash painting. MUCH LOVE TO YOU, DORÉ! Bises, Anita

How right you are: WHITE IS THE COLOUR! Fantastic pictures of your cozy home! I love also all shades of white combined with vintage linens and some rustic elements in wood or zinc. Pure, natural and timeless.
Have a nice Easter weekend,

I'm back again, Dore.

I wanted to say that the word that stands out when visiting your home... your blog... is 'elegance'. I will have to pay closer attention and look for ways to bring elegance into our tiny cottage.

Doré,

Everything looks peaceful and heavenly, like being suspended in a cloud. Your plank flooring is incredible.
An enhancement of contrast and dimension. Your sitting room painted floors is striking and ethereal ... Seriously like a serene cloud of relaxation.

You and Hannah have worked so hard on the project and now your efforts speak of wise choices and sheer beauty.

Please feel better. Sending my love and wishes for happy Easter.
XOXO,
Vera

Hello Dore!

Thank you so much for checking in on me...your emails/comments always make my day. I just spent a bit visiting your blog - and not sure where to start! Congrats on the Prairie magazine - those images are so beautiful and obviously Fifi knows she has a true winner with you - smart lady! The artful wire in the prior post stole my heart - you have a the eye of a true artist. I love how you manage to capture all the details without over doing it at the same time. And of course, how I need you to help clean out this mess of a house over here - haha. Your home, always so calming and soothing - the perfect place to ponder and wonder as I call it.

Miss you very much and will be back 100% more sooner than later - getting better every day!

Lot of love and admiration,
Elizabeth - Happy Easter!!

Most gorgeous friend,

I am so thrilled to see you came to visit me today. I knew you would love the photos I shared, for when I saw them, I thought of you and Kerrie. And guess what? For my birthday, my husband is having our builder cut and install EXPOSED BEAMS in our two new rooms! I told Ruben I want to white wash paint the pine wood. I need to get some advice from you....but in the mean time, enjoy this blessed time of year where peace was meant to abide....thank you for your kind words my friend. Dear Dore, Hello sweet friend. I hope you had a blessed Easter. We had a lovely family get together, and dinner, coupled with perfect 78* weather, and sunshine. Ok, now for this post...I LOVE the side table you created! It's perfect for any room. The coffee table, how clever of you to create a cozy, and comfortable area, using a chest of drawers as a coffee table! I love the egg shaped rocks, truly a little treasure! I have a collection of interesting rocks, some found, some gifted from my daughter, Jamie, or my grandsons. Enjoy your week, it is always a great start for mine when I see you have posted. xoxox Christel

Dore I noticed that you put your precious Sing And Fly artwork in your shop. I know how much that piece means to you, being inspired by your little Hannah. I do hope you will reconsider. Maybe just tuck it away in storage for perhaps a grandchild's nursery someday. It is such a treasure that I want to encourage you to never part with. xxo Kerrie

Bonjour ma belle! Do you know how happy I get when I see a comment from you? I am so thrilled that you came to my post, because I knew that certain images would move you....that fairy in her cocoon dress and pointy hat...oh yes, that is me, wondering about the garden, looking and feeling for something interesting and fun....

My friend, I think of you often. I also am grateful for our recent conversation about my dizziness. It has now been over a month, and I still have it. The imbalance has improved greatly, but the vertigo does come if I turn to quickly to the right. I had an MRI this past Wednesday, and I'm just waiting for the results. I just want to be normal.

But the joy of art and beauty never stop. Thank you for your constant inspiration and I will be contacting you soon about some painting tips! LOVE! Anita
