Rural French And Faded Old-World

Burlap Luxe Home Faded And Washed

Linen and faded in old-world style; perfectly at home in
French country-style.

Inspired by the palest of French living.
I have been sewing with faded worn looking linens.

New to my etsy shop is the feather pillow slip covers envelope style
faded shams. They have the feeling of old world European linen flour sacks,
and I love the French cottage charm they add with being washed, and worn.

Euro-sham in faded roses and stripped linen.

Lumbar linen sham in the same print over stuffed with a feather insert.
It fights in no way with its pale backdrop.

Rural French and faded with washed and worn old-world.

Sold!

Reclaimed fabric's add so much to my faded French home that
I am keeping a set for myself, and the other set is listed in my
etsy shop here on my sidebar. Soon to be filled with more
relaxed vintage, and hand-made, sewn by Dore (me)
at Burlap Luxe.

Living rural French.

Reminds me of Jan de Luz where I went in Carmel! The linens were exquisite. Are you familiar with his shoppe?

Such beautiful fabric Dore! Faded floral looks so charming in your French style home. Also, I just love the finish on your lighter wood tone furniture pieces. I'd love to hear more about how you achieve that look. Heading over to check out your shop.

So inviting for the Summer, I love those faded linens! I remember Darryl Carter saying he reverses floral prints to get that same look. I love it! xo K

Doré,
Just got indoors from trimming FiFi and her Pips (my boxwood). Nice surprise to see your post relaxing with an iced coffee.
Relaxed, faded comfort = Perfection, very pretty. I am patiently waiting to see the delectable goodies you sew from the vintage Matelassé.
everything you create speaks of beauty.

Lovely Dore....I love the fabrics just faded to perfection.
A little floral in the print looks so pretty in your home. It's fun to create isn't it? I'm glad you took the time to step away and sew up those pretty textiles.
Enjoy a beautiful weekend soon.
xo,
Gail

Oh yessss, faded these beauties look like the one of a kind, you will never be able to buy. To loud, to screaming colors, they stepped back to show more of elegant pure texture.
They match perfectly to your home.
Alll those fields of "antiquing" and matching with real antiques, you handle them. AND besides... I would (in THIS CASE) prefer the new, just looking old, to real old pillows... The old ones sometimes are a bit... iaaaghh, hahaha
I believe THIS is gonna be a bestseller - because they are so perfectly done with your careful eye.
I hope, I found the right words here, as English is not my mothertongue, and so I huuug you and am happy, that you are like a fountain of ideas, your friend Méa
