Dwelling in French Stillness, Artistically

 The Home Of Burlap Luxe
How our home lives
 We entertain
Remembering it is not just about us, but those placed in our lives.
Here is a French country setting yet, set with a gathered and collected feel
to each place setting.

Setting a table, a la Francaise

Mixing plate size's and more often imperfect pieces will show up living creatively at
our table of French.

Settings of silver find themselves in the mix of borrowing from separate but,
equal drawers of flatware.
I do have a thing for dinnerware and to be fair to my collections of equal use,
I fairly use them sometimes all at once.
(left to right) Michale Angelo, Oneida, Lenox.
Making for fun conversation.

Mixing serving pieces equally adds all the right charm to your settings.
I love adding vintage and family heirlooms, as well as great thrift shop finds.
These platters were my latest Goodwill find, mint condition 13" round,
and all three under $4.00
These platters will make a fun statement, while enjoying what they serve.

Effortless pieces come together to create French farmhouse spaces!
Burlap Luxe etsy... New art pieces I have been artistically working on
one piece at a time, and one chamber of my heart.
 An Art Dwelling.

Here is my latest...This French roadside shrine reflects a simple and
great feeling that people everywhere need comfort and
security of eternal.
Each individual would perhaps see them differently, based on
their own needs, and a place to rest their heart on.

Those of you that have shared in the purchasing of my art pieces know
the heart and soul work that goes into what I create.
Hand sculpted embellishments, wire work, paper mache, hand poured
and molded statues from vintage molds and my hands. Along with paper
ephemera from vintage poetry books tattered with little life left in them.

I never know the end result until the pieces tell me they are finished.

All my art by me Dore Callaway,
is of One-Of-A-Kind, and is soulfully created from within. I truly get
undone just thinking about the end results, and how the pieces and colors just
seam to effortlessly work
Like all my art pieces of this medium, paper mache, wood fibers, glues and
paints, they are my starting point... From there on its all imagined, and the
GRAVITY that pulls me in closer is what nudges along its OUTCOME.

Hand rolled beads of clays and woods, preserved paper flower chandeliers,
wire hand twisted crowns adorned with golden and steal grey pearls,
vintage laces aged and stiffened for lasting beauty.
Positive and encouraging pieces, an aura of peace and being still.

Now this piece and like pieces are making way to my Burlap Luxe etsy shop.
Honor where you alone creatively are placed.
What is truly beautiful lies within.

Hi Dore,
The little roadside shrine you refer to is so special. I think all the little touches are so delicate, adding that extra little sparkle. Your place settings are so inviting! I love the platform of white dinnerware for cuisine. It's the best for food I think!
Enjoy a beautiful week, Spring is on it's way..

Dore,
Dwelling in French stillness... a phrase that tugs at my inner visions... thinking about experiences while traveling in France... my thoughts go to sitting in outdoor cafes in the Dordogne, enjoying good food using simple utensils. I love seeing your images because I know they are authentic French, not my imitations of French.

Doré... increadible. I have to look and to loooook at all this divine details and I have my mouth open right now, unable to close it. The colors you use, the game of small and tall, ornaments and TEXTURE, you are such an artist!!! And there is something like salt in it to add it to the sweets, everything in balance, to give every home honeur, that is so lucky to own one of your pieces. You are able to create emotions in me, just when I am looking at these pieces of artwork. I will look at this post again and again, because to look at it twice is not enough. The beads... the little cloth on top, the little madonna.. the patina, the ornaments... GOSH, THE IDEA!!!!! How did this idea come into your mind???
Simply gorgeous...
All these thoughts are running through my head now.
I bow! Your are wonderful, Doré. So have a deep hug, and I will visit you again and again today. Your friend and admirer Méa.
I hope, you do not mind, when I take a picture out of here, to show my followers (with a link to this here) this little wonder??? They all have to see it.

Oh my goodness, your little shrine is breathtaking! I honestly don't know how you come up with these things...my mind just doesn't work that way! So lovely!!!

Your plates are gorgeous and paying so little for them is an added bonus:) Thank you for your advice on my desk, we don't have an electric sander but I do know we have a palm sander so I'm definitely going to go for it.

I finally put a new post up today! I'm a lazy blogger but I do still love blogging and don't want to slack too much!

Your "Roadside Shrine" is an amazing piece of art that only you could create, Dore. So many intricate details, and I love the word picture of resting your heart upon it.
Using a mix of flatware and serving pieces is such a delightful idea.

all that you have thoughtfully described truly comes through in the work, dore. the stillness...oui. and the peaceful contemplative process which is always flowing and loose rather than contrived...yes, this finds expression in your work. i love art pieces that are nearly impossible to describe with words, and i think what you create qualify as such. they leave lots of space for the beholder and future owner. they perhaps create SPACE rather than occupy it, yes? keep following your heart and creating with soul. peace and twisted wire to you.

I am terribly late, school work you know...

But it is truly a repose of sheer beauty to visit bloggers whose art speaks to me...this is truly gorgeous, and I can't wait to have even more time on my next holiday (spring break!) to redo my rooms for spring. Gorgeous whites as usual, and your French soul truly speaks here, en français....
