The Natural Winter French Home

Burlap Luxe Home Living Naturally.

Living naturally in calm spaces, the way winter feels refreshing and all new with
lifes pleasures.

Fresh linens
Such things have an honest integrity placed at hand on a French iron washstand.

Layers of age, "refreshing."

Winter makes it that much more calming and quiet when the backdrop matches.

Stacked

Rows

Late winter berries from the garden hedges that frame this natural French cottage.

Its function offers beauty in its use.

Winter berries and twine.

A natural choice to the subject.

The natural French home is predominantly filled with soft colours quietly
taking on its surroundings with texture that dismiss a loud glance.

I am bringing in this new winter with milky whites, treebark beige, and
winter greys warming it with gentle tones of age.

Oh No...I recently sold in the shop a metal washstand just like the one at the beginning of your post...what was I thinking?!
Dore, you are such an artful blogger with the most wonderful inspiration that just seems to flow from within!

So beautiful to view your Winterplay, Dore! There is nothing more consoling to me than folding, stacking or wrapping oneself in vintage linen.
...ah the hedge berries! Let Heaven and nature sing!
To you, Hannah and Pia Bleu!

Oh Dore.....you truly know how to create an atmosphere of serene winter beauty. I love the rustic simplicity; the soft shades of grey, taupe, and white; the feel of peace and calm. You have poured your beautiful soul into your home and it shows.

Doré,
Peaceful winter arrives to Burlap Luxe with your soulful rustic appreciation of French pieces graced with age. The patina on the washbasin is lovely. Love the garden chandelier lite by candles. Simple beauty in all you do. Wishing you and Hannah and petite Pia Bleu happiness and health in the New Year. Happy Birthday Doré, may this new year be marked by fun adventure and joy.
xoxo,
Vera

Oh, so beautiful, how winter and winterlight changes our senses. Everything lookes more charakteristic, and your pictures, aaaahh, it is so difficult to handle color, don ´t you think? But you really managed it, in your gentle and careful way of an artist.
The rustiv washstand, ahhh, so good to leave it like this, not to whiten it, as most of the people would have done. It plays it´s conterpart to all the whites and greys.
So the colors, ohoh, to turn them into "formidable" and melting in, is sooo hard. You gave us a lesson, how to do it. Because else, something would be missing.
Hugs to you, your follower Méa, who still is waiting for her New Year, as my year will start in the night from the second to the third of January.

Good morning, ma chère amie! What a glorious way to winter the storms, the cloudy days and snow....to stay cozy in our French homes. All your vignettes are perfectly placed. This past week for me was so refreshing to stay home, sit in my sun-lit parlor and to read, looking up once in a while to take in a whiff of my own French beauty here.

You had asked to see more of my home. My new blog post has some images, and you are most welcomed to see. I hope to have more in the weeks to come. Much love to you and thank you for always being there! Anita

My sweet one,

Good afternoon! I am so sorry that you too have been hit by that awful virus; other California friends have had it too, and I so hope you get better soon. There is nothing like wanting to create with your spirit but your body not cooperating! Thank you for visiting my post. I will come via email to show you some photos I took this morning, but I'll just share them via email. Still not able to get good lighting in my great room! Back in a minute, Anita
