catch rustic's that land.
|I added new hardware glass knobs aged with crusty homemade plaster paint.|
|I painted the cabinet to blend seamlessly with the side-board chest I painted |

Beautiful work, I adore it.
You have created a beautiful piece of furniture there! I love finding separate pieces and marrying them, I love being creative that way!
Dore, it looks amazing! I love how you married the two pieces. It works so much better with the different sizes. The painting of the hardware is just the perfect touch. You did a beautiful job!
It is gorgeous Dore!!! You turned it into a wonderful piece to have in your lovely home my dear!
I so admire your talent, and the finish you chose. What a wonderful storage piece. It would look marvellous in my kitchen. I like how you are thinking ahead! The cupboard would look fantastic hung. Gorgeous!
gorgeous! I just love everything about it. I love the way you stripped it down to its bare beauty and gave it the most beautiful finish. The styling is wonderful. It is such an interesting piece now. You've inspired me to go and paint some furniture. I hope you are enjoying this gorgeous summer. Have you started with your kitchen cabinets yet? I am dreaming of a kitchen with white washed wood floor like yours and cabinets and open shelves painted like this with gorgeous white china.
Wow really Wow...I Live the Computer and your naturel deko on the beauty...lovely greetings Justys
Doré, you did magic. And the idea with the knobs and the black is simpli gorgeous. It took its time, of course! An now there is your reward: A perfect background, a setting, unique and full of your energy. It is like a fuel station now, isn´t it. Gives back your energy a thousend times more powerful.
Have a wonderful rest of the week :)),
hugs to the "createuse" ;)) from Méa
The cabinet is GORGEOUS. I can imagine that was a big job. Wish I had half of the talent you have, Dore.
Hope you have a wonderful summer
Big hug from here
BOnjour mon amie! This is brilliant. I've seen several cabinets like this that I'm sure will begin to be even more popular as people see what can be done with them! Your painting is a masterful way of wisely recycling and restoring a piece that will now give more pleasure, instead of going out to buy something that in my opinion, would have no heart. But this piece now has a history - what it once was to someone else, and what it went through in YOUR HANDS. The loving massage of sanding and painting has made this a masterpiece.
Have another fun day of dreaming of beautiful things! (I hope you are well!) Anita
This is a timeless piece. You
did such a professional job.
It would change any room you
put it in. What a wonderful find. Better yet, it is beautiful.
Wow really Wow...I Live the Computer and your naturel deko on the beauty...lovely greetings Justys
Love that cabinet Dore !!!!!...you did a great job !!...love from me Ria.....enjoy summer...xxx !
I love that I can click on each photo and see everything up close. The black gives the piece added emphasis and another layer of history. Everything ~ as always ~ is gorgeous, Dore!
I am just now getting around to painting my baker's rack. It's outdoors because the paint smell is so strong. Perhaps Mother Nature will add a few of her own touches to it! :)
Have a beautiful day, dear friend!
Absolutely gorgeous Dore-I love that you took two pieces and made the work together and the fish is stunning. Wow!
Wow Dore, your cabinet is beyond beautiful! I can't even begin to imagine what you'd pay for something like that in a shop...probably in the $1,000's easily. Love the beadboard you added to the back too!
Dore, I absolutely love this beautiful piece of furniture you have created! The finish inspires a sweet peaceful feeling and I love it so much!

What a lovely, lovely piece. I especially like how the top cabinet is slightly wider than the drawers below it - gives it a fun and unique look. And of course, you accessorize it perfectly. I hope all is well with you and know that you are often in my thoughts.
Big hugs always
I wish I had an identity with a beautiful design like yours. I can only appreciate from afar. Thank-you Dore for the inspiration.
Beautiful! Taking your time with this piece paid off beautifully.
time well spent!
I'm back to revisit your amazing achievement. I love how you played with scale! Seeing the possibility of making the two different pieces reflect your aesthetic and masterfully worked your painting techniques to capture your vision.
It bounces off the darker floor and enriches your rural tonal whiteness chic. I am happy to see black rubbed in as I think it enhances softy the different layers of richness.
I appreciate and value your commitment in your passions and you enable us to dream and attempt to succeed in our own DIY furniture projects.
My brother is spending a long weekend with us and I've been knee deep in projects and trying to finish on time, work commitments. I guess I took my own advice to refocus and redirect my efforts and have been hectically/frantically trying to complete things.
I always find a visit to Burlap Luxe a time to soak in beauty and relax, thank you mon amie.
It's all about "entering a room" and that is what you created. Elegant beauty, as only you can create. I find such peace in your posts and I need not look further, everything I love is always right here.
Blessings to you sweet Dore.
Two castoffs receiving a new life, how beautifully your wording is. You are an artist in all facets.
Thank you Dore for sharing your knowledge and skill here.
You took your time and it paid off!
Lovely piece of furniture.............
I'm out the door now to set up for Remnants of the Past............XX
I like the smaller cabinet as it leaves open space on each side. Beautifully done!
Hello dear friend... What can I say. I believe this is probably one of my favorite pieces.. I love what your hands create, and my heart is always drawn to the old world look.. You always put such love and care into your work. Exquisite!
Enjoy your weekend
what a beautiful marriage you have arranged here. i always find inspiration and aha moments when i pop over. for example, the switch out of the glass for the wood. oui. oui. i need to follow suit as i have always wanted to do this to my hutch. a project like that can seem daunting for me and so i wait and wait. but you and i both know it will be an amazing improvement. bravo on the finish you have achieved here. timeworn. hushed. lyrical even. how i would love to see your pieces in person. soon i will buy some of your art to make that dream come true. love to you, dore.
First, I think it is impossible for you to create anything that is less than masterful.. You have a sense of personal style that is pure ~class~ and your gentle soul is visible in every piece..
It was such a joy to see you had come to meet little Abby... I understand your feelings about wanting a wee goat.. If I were on a farm, watch out.. I would need to have one of everything I believe.
Take care, sending you a big hug!
You really created a wonderful piece. What fun and feeling of accomplishment. I expect you will enjoy this piece for many years to come.
Marvelous Dore', the two seem to be together since a long time! You did a great job and your magical touch is absolutely unmistakable! Hugs

Oh my goodness - what a lovely cabinet!
Dore, you blended these pieces together seamlessly! Looks like they were meant to be together...gorgeous!
Oh how lovely.. what insight to find both of those pieces and think to put them together in such an easy pleasing manner, your home is amazing, I love what you create.
Thank you for your visit, you put a smile on my face xxx
Hugs Lynn xxx
Oh WOW Dore,
That looks AMAZING ….. and, I probably would never have thought to do that but, it's great to have the sides to display things. A brilliant idea and one that we can all do. Just have to find the furniture first !!!! I love the way that you've aged it too. That's such a good idea to add the black paint. I'm going to do that to a couple of my pieces ….. I'm always painting furniture and distressing it.
….. and, many thanks for your lovely comment today. XXXX
