Weathered And Washed With Life

All Photos Burlap Luxe Home

Weathered and washed with life.
How bravely Autumn paints upon the sky
Hues of all flowers that in their ashes lie.
Trophied in that fair light whereon they fed.
Tulips, and hyacinth, and sweet rose red

~ Thomas Hood
Here in October with the cool Autumn sun I lie awake in what I
will find tomorrow.
Here just a simple face of a birdhouse is all that was salvaged pale with
a colourful soul
Weathered with a galvanized patina garden markers await their next markings.
French floral cans with the change of seasons will be filled
with nature.

So much gorgeousness Dore! I love the little garden markers, so lovely. The teacup hanging on the pumpkin is lovely also:)

It's been cooling down here too, we actually were able to turn the A/C off and open up the windows and sliding doors...it was so nice!

J'adore le romantisme de tes mises-en-scène. Juste un moment de rêve qu'on aimerait prolonger dans la vraie vie.

Doré,

Another post to delight our eyes and heighten our senses and appreciation of all you design, collect and share.
Your photography is amazing!
I am so crushing on all the galvanized in this post.

Philadelphia and it's painted leaves are wondrous and the crispness in the air ... perfection.

Enjoy your week!
XOXO,
Vera

Dear Dore,
It was such a joy to see you had come for a visit.. Thank you for your kind words about Sir William.
Yes, he made his own cage.. I found it to be quite the challenge. I would love to see a cage made by your gifted hands.
blessings,
Penny

Good evening beautiful!

Your comments are always so kind, Doré, and yes, don't you just want to surround yourself with patina and aged tradition in the French design? The elegance and comfort of this style IS an inspiration! I am planning to decorate for Christmas using grays and silver and lots of mercury glass candle cups! I love the look, and now if I can just find a WHITE wreath!

Enjoy the season my friend! Anita
