French Country Living...Living Rural French

Burlap Luxe Home Photos Dore Callaway

Good influences surround me in my country kitchen where French style is inspired by
the French countryside.

Brocante pieces fill the cubbies in a piece that was meant to be.

I have often wanted to change out the dark farmhouse chairs yet the rural
style adds visual to the rooms soft patina.

Galvanize, zinc and pewter are part of the good that influenced the interior
style of no set of rules yet loving in the way objects are used.

French antique galvanized have been added to vintage mahogany wood with a
typography number painted to it adds a bit more French to the rooms decor.

They can be found in my etsy shop at

www.etsy.com/shop/BurlapLuxe

Also will be featured in Fifi O'Neill's new book Prairie Style Weddings due out
in spring 2014

What's important in a French country home is the way objects are used
and pieces are arranged.

A piece that was meant to be is everything you feel from it.

Oh Doré!!!! YES! I love the way many of you wonderful photographers can capture the WHITE and gray tones with just one object of color; I cannot seem to get that look from my photos. Your kitchen is a dream. I had corresponded with Fifi as well but she is way too busy to get back to me. Congratulations on getting into her book! Your home is perfect for her look and coming here today is a great way to start my day. I am off to work to teach FRENCH - the most beautiful language du monde! BISOUS BISOUS, Anita

Oh Doré,

What time is dinner? The contrast of the darker wood chairs beckons you with a gesture and a promise of a most memorable meal and evening.

It is in the contrast our eyes can appreciate the peaceful soulfulness.of all the white Frenchness. One appreciates the beauty of the white shapes and forms. The amazing round table, the gorgeous open hutch.

I noticed the vintage silver champagne bucket in your lovely hutch. How about you set it out and I'll bring a bottle of Veuve Clicquot ... Dinner at 8?

Your photography as always is excellent.

XOXO,
Vera

Dore, your kitchen is warm and inviting. The worn edges and soft patinas make it all that a home should be. Gorgeous! Congratulations on being in Fifi's book, like her previous ones, I know it will be fantastic!
