Simple beauty, "making something out of nothing"
I have collected odd and shapely dicarded salt & pepper shakers filling them with soul.
While you may have an affinity for rosebuds and fresh picked flowers, note that there is beauty all around us. A simple wild garden weed growing with little life left in it will add passion, purpose, and creative living. These stems of weedy wildflowers gathered up from the weed filled garden beds of discarded cuttings adds special life to its beauty.

Pieces of old and salvage share its past with a graceful blend.
A garden post French in style made it easy to achieve my
found objects desired effect.

I so agree with you. As time goes on I have learned to appreciate every little thing for the beauty it contains. Pieces of salvage, once discarded, are held as a precious possession. Enjoyed your post :)

I have always loved this quote "Nature is pleased with simplicity"- Isaac Newton.
Around 25 years ago my husband and I were building stacked field stone walls to house our boxwood plants.
I picked up a slab sized thinner stone with lovely variegated shades and announced cheese board. I honestly think John thought that the heat
had gotten to me!
Nature and simplicity, aesthetically beautiful
and still a perfect cheese board.

Those field flowers in the salt shakers are stunning. Going to go check out my vintage collection for bud vases.
Dinner guests are coming over on Saturday, a salt holder/bud vase at each setting. Perfect!!!

Good morning! It is so good to see your comment and to read it on this ICY morning. It is raining ICE TODAY! But you know, as much as I long for spring and summer, I still love these gray days! We are bound in friendship and with the love for that gray zone of peace, of waiting, and of silence.

I do intend on taking some photos of my home to share soon; my blog will become more VARIED in content as well as adding more photos of my own, but I am finally learning how to use my camera. I have been working a lot in the schools and so I have not had time to work at home, but next week I will.

I've probably been passing by old salt shakers when out shopping and never realized how wonderful they look grouped together! Perfect for filling with little bits of flowers or a dandelion brought to me by my four year old son. :)
