You are so right....I DO love this...it really touched me. Just as I typed this....I glanced over to the lovely gift you gave me a while back...makes me feel like you are right here with me. Thank you for visiting, as always. For some reason, I noticed, I am always smiling so big when I visit and comment on your blog. I hop you are doing well and know that I think of you very often.

Big hugs and lots of love
Elizabeth

Dear Dore,
What a delight it was to see your sweet note.. Thank you so much for visiting, I am so happy you enjoyed the roses..
The porch itself need some tender care. Lots of work need to be done,
the cement floor and posts need a make over... I hope to get to that soon..
Wishing you a beautiful week ahead.
bisous!
Penny

Dore,

Sorry to arrive late to your posting. Had a deadline and took a short break from blog land.

As always your words and photo's express beauty and truth.

I admire your choice to use your own photography to express yourself.

Dear Dore, what a beautiful post! You are right, words and experiences are quite inseparable. They tend to be "strung" together in our minds and hearts.

Hi Dore! Absolutely gorgeous post! Such a delicious combination of textures!!! Oh and yes we sold our 500 year old house and moved into a brand new one! It still has beams (new oak), a wood burning stove, an oak porch and that contemporary country feel as you say. It's quite a change and we adore every inch of it!!! It's in a tiny village quite close to our old home and is so peaceful - but more to follow!! Thank you so much for your lovely message and a gorgeous weekend to you too - Warmest wishes - Glenda xxx
