To { inspire } and be { inspired }

"Click on photos enlarge details"
My Iron bed custom designed with a patina that accomplishes an aged old life.

Collective soul; to inspire and be inspired.
Old pieces hold a certain charm that new pieces can't compete with. Decorating with simple pieces and found objects that hold the presence of history in them allows them to make conversation with the room rather then its own story of mass production.

Keeping it simple and relaxed with removing some of the clutter and oh so pale with a fresh coat of paint.

I don't like a lot of colour, thoughts of the way I view my home is letting the pieces blend in making a quiet impression while each room connect to another, even as the rooms take on new pieces I can relax sensing the rooms love it to.

Stacking empty picture frames from yard sales or tag sales lightens the feeling in how artistically carefree one lives and these frames add to my home and my soulful artistic heart adding peace and a vision for what I imagine painted in them.

My soul glorifies and my spirit rejoices.

Via "Dore" Burlap Luxe
Made out of my salvaged chair spindles that were piled in a corner of a cobwebbed corner of my working scraps. Who knew such winter beauty of peace could be created and embellished with bits and pieces thought to have no use. This is a piece soon to be featured in my peaceful etsy shop.

I focus my creative finds on pleasing my home, this inspiring box plans to live a new future in my peaceful pale home where you can hear its small voice inspiring.

Keeping it pale and oh so interesting.

To keep a pale room from being blah it needs texture and you have done that masterfully! Everything is so very calm, peaceful and abundantly beautiful!

I love the cross Dore!!! What a great post! I love the pale grey paint color you used. And I could not agree more about old vs new pieces. I feel that the former ground my home in some sort of past and history.

have a great day

Your kind words on my post just fill me with joy. I was off from my stressful job yesterday and today, I am off again, to prepare things for my Etsy shop!!!! Let's see how this works! hi! i found you through a comment you left on savvycityfarmer. i was wondering if you wouldn't mind explaining the technique you mentioned there -- adding plaster to paint. how is this done? what type of plaster? what type of paint? what amount of each? and also, do you have links to projects where you used this technique? thank you so much for your help! i love painting furniture and learning new techniques -- especially new techniques that make my pieces look old. thanks again! jydardeau at yahoo dot com
