Joyeux Noël~God Jul

 "All Photos Burlap Luxe Home"

When your sense are quited.

With peaceful surroundings.

Gently worn with a patina of age.

Where winter days are calm, worn, and imaginative.
Dress a tree with colours of the season.

Well suited for a simple winters home.

Nothing more than a clipping, just borrowing what will end up pruned back at this time of year.

BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!!!! Bonne journée chèrie, Anita

  2. Bella amica,
Buon giorno a South Georgia. Your container for the lovely greenery reminds me of my new roof, a natural galvanized metal. Your colors and calm are my inspiration for Bella Cottage. Strongly considering all monochromatic grays for the entire exterior. PLaying with colors now. WIsh for your input...XOXO Kim

  14. The most simplest of nature's gifts as decor are the most breathtaking...your entire setting is complete comfort. I absolutely love your kitchen island table...that you made, right?!! It is stunning. I forgot to tell you that the little bird is from one of my favorite shops in the city 'The Gifted Gardener' and the nesting egg is from Selena's etsy Moonflower. The candle was partially burned to fit in the box! and the ornament is vintage. So thankful Hannah is home safe. My girls have been on their college campus for several lock downs because of similar situations. Several deaths have occurred and thankfully they have been safe. We live in days when trusting God is essential.

  16. Me again! I just had to pop in, I was commenting on Kerrie's blog and read your post regarding the lockdown at your daughter's college...OMG Dore, how horrific! It's always so heartbreaking to hear these things:(

My youngest son Christian went to elementary, junior high and high school with a young man who has been missing since last Friday. He was attending Arizona State U, was out with friends, and vanished. Everytime I see his mom on the news I just start sobbing...she is so visibly shattered, it breaks my heart:( It's always awful to see bad things happen but when they happen to our young people, all the worse:(

Hugs to your daughter! So sorry for that young mans family too:(

  30. Yesterday I was out planting tulip bulbs. Yes, I know, it was a bit late in the season but it had to be done!
As I walked to the garden, literally THOUSANDS of birds flew overhead on their southward journey. I closed my eyes and lifted my face to them and heard only the flutter of a million wings! Pure poetry! I will remember that moment for the rest of my life!
NOW it feels like Christmas to me.
I actually thought of you afterward, as I planted the bulbs. I knew you would appreciate it!
Nature has the best way of celebrating. No?

    xo
