Solstice Of Darkening Nights And Creating

Looking forward to the turn of winter and the darkening nights creating in solstice with the holidays in mind, it’s also a time to sit in the early darkness handwriting a personal message, a note of appreciation, friendship and love conveying what joy someone has added to your life, receiving a note card is a timeless delight.

While I was resting my artful thoughts on this new piece that I was working on and also thinking about what the holidays will inspire for my art this season I took a break setting aside my paint brushes and made my way to my post box to find a hand written envelope from Kerrie and her SeaWashed studio of art, the note card was in between circulars of junk mail and it instantly added a calm to my evening.




My latest Piece created by me (Dore) the art is painted on layers of distressed paints I created so it would have a Nordic feel on a vintage French table leaf, you will find this peaceful piece perfect for a holiday gift in my peaceful etsy shop.

Merry Christmas signs, one of a few of my hand painted signs and are signed by artist Dore (me) they can also be found in my etsy.

    The sign is lovely for the holidays and the coloring is so beautiful! It is very special to receive a handwritten note these days. It seems much more personal. It is always calming to visit your blog!

    The both of you together my dearest one make such a palate of beauty, it is so peaceful. The way you capture NATURE...birds, VINES, wreaths, OH IT IS STUNNING! AND I can see a theatre with all you wonderful embellishments. Dearest, I think it would be a great idea to announce our theatre thing AFTER THANKSGIVING. I have something in mind. BUT, it is not a production per say....what I was thinking of was to share the CRAFT of stage making, and then each of us could present what we wish.....UNLESS you have another idea.     My darling friend!!!!!!!!

    I was unable to come early this morning for I had to run to school; I got up too late: 4:30am!!! I LOVE THAT YOU ARE FINISHING UP with your theatres! This is my schedule so far:

    This Thursday and next Tuesday I have parent conferences. I will be extremely busy until 11/23. I want to start thinking about advertising our idea. Now, I was thinking of doing it as a LINK party..what do you think? Perhaps inviting others who are interested in the idea? What do you think? Maybe we should keep it between us two, n'est-ce pas? Since there are probably no other people who make theatres! Let me know. THEN, after Thanksgiving, we can start to advertise!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND COMMENTS; this is going to be fun my friend!
