Go he said,
Until rock gives way to sea, gives way to
Salt and air and the elements all—
Until feet touch land that creaks, melts and sighs.
Rippling, crashing, splitting beneath you,
It’s tired arms open to the cold of night—
Everything frozen, everything hushed.
And then, with eyes at rest, look closely.
Closer.
Closer still.
And in that moment, you will find me—
Indeed you will see.

Dearest friend, As always, I was so excited to see a new post from you. I can almost smell the sea breeze, and feel the warm air on my skin. Beautiful words, and lovely wreath. My sister lives in Naples, Fl. and when I visit her there, so many Floridians decorate with ocean finds, including her, but I have never seen such a unique wreath, she too would love it. Hope you have a great weekend, I too am excited about a colaboration between you and sweet Anita! Two beautiful souls, each with her own unique talents..it will be beautiful, I have no doubts. xoxo Christel
ReplyDelete~ sigh ~
ReplyDeletei am not one to covet, but this ~
THIS love letter wreath calls to me...
i imagine lovely women in long, flowing sea gowns, waiting at sea's edge, attaching their heavy, adoring words with silken ribbons to their sailors out at sea ~
in the dawn, beautiful mermaids come near to whisper of their return...
scrolls of love...
you have thought of everything, even a seabird to carry those words out to sea...
~ sigh ~ again!
xo, Rosemary

Ma chère amie Doré,
ReplyDeleteI see that you not only visited Castles, but you came to my little gallery where I am just playing around with my images of what wares I will be selling. Your enthusiasm and support mean a lot to me, as I am still so unsure of what this venture will mean for me. With my busy job that keeps me exhausted during the school year, I can't do much for the moment, so weekends will have to be the time when I crunch my READING and WRITING in with some drawing time...but really, the ART in me is my heart. I CANNOT WAIT FOR OUR THEATRE POSTS!!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!
Dearest heart, you are a diamond set in PLATINUM, my favorite jewelry metal, that has a beautiful GRAY TINT to it and with time and much age, is more beautiful than ever.
MILLE MERCI POUR TON AMITIÉ.....Anita
