Salt & Pepper anyone...
Peaceful artistic impressions with these wonderfully grouped vintage salt & pepper shakers. Start by getting out your collection of old glass shakers arranging them with and original, individual touch. While you may have and affinity for rosebuds and fresh picked flowers, note that there is beauty all around us. A simple wild garden weed growing with little life left in it will add passion, purpose, and creative living. These stems of weed-ie wild flowers gathered up from the weed filled garden beds of disgarded beauty adds prettiness, and a touch of lovelies to any setting of European flea market cottage charm.
I am always enamored with simple beauty, "making something out of nothing" Arrange them for a guaint girlie brunch at each place setting, or a special occassion welcoming love in an arrangement that will not- be-forgotten.

Hi Dore, I do love the simple everyday objects. My mom had a set that we used every day for my whole childhood...just little "diner" s&p's, I have a pair too, that are my "go-tos" in my cabinet. Love the idea of the weedie flowers, there's such beauty in God's everyday creations.
Thank you for always being such an encouragement. I always look forward to seeing what you're up to!
xo,
Debra
That is such a pretty idea that I have never seen before. Now I will be on the look out for old vintage salt & pepper shakers.
I'm so sad, I just had to pull out all the sweet peas in my garden last night...the heat killed them and they were going to seed. But now there is room to plant sunflowers!
Thank you so much for visiting My Dream Canvas. I just discovered your blog and love it! Great ideas and inspirations.
These vintage items are always so romantic,
Dahling Dore, you find beauty in all things and remind us it is all around if we would only open our eyes and notice! So simple, so sweet, and oh so special this world we live in, especaly with a beautiful soul like you to share with us :)
Dore, you really do see things in a different way. I think these are so lovley grouped together. I also love the littel bits from the garden, nothing precious but perfectly suited.
Absolutely looooove-ly! :)) ♥ wildflowers & that they are free.. thank you for sharing your simple joy.

Dore,
Thank you for your sweet comments about my blog. It is sooooooooooo much fun to meet friends from all over! It brings me so much pleasure. I hope we can become good blogging friends. And you tell Hannaha I LOVE my boots too. If she needs a pair let me know the size & we'll be "on the hunt" for her. (for a mere $296.00) Let me know. Have a great week. Charlene
Oh, I forgot to tell you in the post above... I have a THING for salt shakers. If you go in & look at photos (I think the topic is Treasures on my side bar) you will see some of mine. I got a sweet one minus the lid today. Charlene
Loving your blog, just stumbled upon it. I too, like the simple beauty and those bottles are lovely displayed like that, such elegance , but class, and a bit of shabby ness
Just became one of your followers- i love the great inspiration your blog gives.

Hi Dore,
What a simple, yet beautiful idea to use the salt and pepper shakers that way. It's amazing how pretty they are holding the flowers, grouped together that way. Thank you for sharing!
xoxoxo,
Nancy
How lovely you can make salt shakers look. I may do that with the silver plate ones we seem to a few pairs of.
HI Dore,

Hi again, Dore!! I'm so glad you got back to me about that fabulous birdhouse of yours!! I LOVE it! It's so pretty...it would look good in the house just as well as in the garden.

Beautiful!
Simple is definitely beautiful!
I just knew there was a good reason I was collecting these shakers. Thank you for the wonderful idea Dore!
Dore, You & Hannah will have to check back & see the belt I bought at the store where Hubby got my boots. I went back to get boot stretch (I like Hannaha have a narrow heel but, the toes really pinch) They said if I bought the next size the foot would just slip into the toe of the boot & cause the same problem. The fix... a liquie (alcohol based) that you put in the boot & wear a pair of thick socks while you stretch the leather. OUCH! Not looking forward to that part but, heck they'll be cute. Wish I had Hannah's cute tiny figure (God does have a sense of hummor about the adding of Birthdays) Anyway, I went in to buy the boot stretch & bought the most amazing belt. BLING!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs! Charlene
So cute. Great idea!
Loving your blog. Where can I become a follower.. Off to find that button now, and then I am adding you to my blog roll!

Hello Lovely Dore,
I know you always come up with such wonderful ideas and I just love this one! I just love the way you take something very ordinary and make it so extraordinary! These salt and pepper shakers are no exception!! I am the same as you and am always looking at something not for what it is, but what it can be. I also love it when some thing is a blank canvas just waiting for creation and inspiration. It excites me so much, as it does you. Just look at the magic you made with that cute stationary station. Now was a great transformation. You are truly talented and have such an incredibly tasteful sense of style. You rock girlfriend!!
Has your daughter graduated yet? I've been thinking about both of you. It is such an exciting time for her:) Mom, I hope you are holding up alright :(....it's so bittersweet for us, isn't it???
Thanks for stopping by to say hello. You know, I always enjoy your visits and I hope your are enjoying your day!!
XoXo
Gail
